SPIRITS & STICKS REVIEW: Punisher Jalapeño Popper & Potion of Restoration

Punisher Jalapeno Poppers

This month’s cigar and drink review was done by KinkyIrishCowboy and covers the Punisher Jalapeño Popper and The Potion Of Restoration, a gin based drink found in the Hero’s Feast, the official D&D cookbook. First let’s look at the makeup of the Punisher and the Potion.

The Punisher  is a full-bodied, potent blend of Nicaraguan ligero tobacco. It comes in perfecto, toro, and torpedo options in a habano wrapper.  It does leave a nice tingle on your lips.  At one point or another every adventurer has had to have a potion of restoration.  This particular potion is a fruity and sweet drink with tones of blackberry and lemon with a gin base.

I feel the combination of the Potion of restoration and the Punisher Jalapeño Popper work well together. When I enjoyed the combination, none of the flavors were potent enough to overpower any of the others.  I was able to taste all of the flavors from the spiciness of the Punisher to the fruity taste of the muddled blackberries that make-up a portion of the drink.  This combination would work well if you enjoy a spicy cigar, whether you want to enjoy it by yourself, hang out with a group of friends, or even go exploring in the deep dark dungeons of a D&D campaign.
