Visit the South Plains’ presenter page to see the full list of SM/Leather and M/s presenters.
THE INTERNATIONAL MASTER/SLAVE CONTEST – 25th ANNIVERSARY!
In 2014, we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of the International Master/slave Contest . The International Master/slave Contest is the fourth longest running international leather title in existence and is focused on educating the community about healthy and satisfying M/s relationships. South Plains has been the home of the title and contest since 2003. The competition kicks off on Friday night at the South Plains Cruise with the introduction of the contestant pairs from around the world and our esteemed panel of judges and concludes Saturday evening with the International Master/slave Contest. Both the Cruise and Contest will be hosted by emcees Master Obsidian and slave Namaste (IM/s 2010). Come to South Plains and support your regional contestant pair!
SOUTH PLAINS SUNDAY BRUNCH
South Plains’ Sunday Brunch welcomes Master Skip Chasey as our 2014 keynote speaker. As an out and proud leatherman, Master Skip addressed a crowd of nearly one million people at the Millennium March on Washington, and since then he has given more than a dozen keynote addresses and presented over 200 programs on the spiritual dynamics of SM and D/s relationships at noteworthy events throughout the U.S. and Canada. In his own words, “Blood may be thicker than water, but leather is thicker than blood.”
SOUTH PLAINS FAMILY TRADITIONS
Our South Plains family consistently tells us that the best thing about South Plains is the opportunity to be with old friends and to make new ones. We all like to socialize! So this year we’re bringing back your favorite activities and adding more ways you can meet and connect with your South Plains family.
THURSDAY NIGHT EARLY BIRD MIXER
Join us at the Park Inn Hotel & Suites – Love Field for an Early Bird Mixer, Thursday night March 6 from 7:30-9:00 pm in the Champagne Ballroom! Once again, NLA-Dallas will sponsor this kickoff event. So join us, mix and mingle, say hello to old friends and meet new ones. It’s a low key, low stress way to get your South Plains weekend started right. South Plains thanks our partner in leather, NLA-DALLAS, for sponsoring the Early Bird Mixer. Come one, come all!
THE FRIDAY NIGHT CRUISE
On Friday night, we’ll celebrate leather tradition and history with the South Plains Cruise. Come in, meet friends, cruise, flirt, meet our judges and contestants, and enjoy the entertainment. We’ll also have separate cruises at other times for different parts of the South Plains family – on-site for the women and transgender cruises and an informal time for the men to meet at the Dallas Eagle.
SOUTH PLAINS CAFÉ
What better way is there to come home to family and friends than to share a meal with them? South Plains offers our family an opportunity to do just that by having lunch on Saturday at the South Plains Café. Equally important, contributions by South Plains and our Sponsors allow us to donate $15 of your ticket price to the International Master/slave Travel Fund. This lunch and the silent auction (including contestant baskets) are the way we support the Fund (no live auctions!), so come out, meet friends, and support your IM/s titleholders at the same time. Seating is limited so don’t miss out — purchase your tickets when you register!
FAMILY REUNIONS
You asked; we listened. South Plains is making available the 12th-floor lounge (“The View”) for your families or groups to book space for gatherings, celebrations and ceremonies throughout the weekend. The time slots are limited – for more information, visit the South Plains website under Social Events: Family Reunions.
CIGAR SOCIAL
Back by popular demand, the Cigar Social returns on Friday night after the Cruise. Gather on the patio by the hotel pool with your favorite stick and socialize with old and new friends. Didn’t bring any cigars, no problem! Purchase one or more of the South Plains Limited Special Edition cigars and enjoy an excellent smoke.
THE “FAMILY ROOM” IN THE ATRIUM
The hotel atrium has always been the South Plains “family room” — a place to gather, talk, laugh, and share stories. But because you asked, last year we provided more seating in the Atrium by bringing in additional chairs and tables to make gathering with your family even easier. It was a huge success! So in 2014 join us again in the family room – and while you’re there, don’t forget to let the South Plains bootblacks show your leathers some love, visit the Silent Auction and take a look at the history of the International Master/slave title!
SOUTH PLAINS PLAY PARTY TRADITION
What would a leather weekend be without play parties? We have 5,000 square feet of on-site play space, featuring separate women’s and pansexual dungeons. The $25 play party package is good for both Friday and Saturday nights. This year, you can expect even more no-holds barred action in our play spaces! And we haven’t forgotten about the men– South Plains’ men will be able to purchase tickets to Discipline Corps’ Esprit de Corps off-site play parties held throughout the weekend.
AFTER SOUTH PLAINS PLAY PARTY
Don’t want South Plains to end? Party on because now you can play on Sunday night too!
